Post Long time Honda Enthusiast, back on HT!

Hello Honda-Tech, my name is Austin, and it's good to be back on Honda-tech.com (new name because the old username was old)

I have been into Honda's since I was 7 (Gran turismo 2, three-wheelin the Spoon Integra lapping camaros ) and I'm now 28, so 21 years to be exact that I've been enthused about these Honda's. My older brother, Brad, was a member on here known as JDM S1EEPER and would frequently post in the LS turbo forum back in the early-mid 2000's and I as a kid would be his spell checker before him hitting 'post' LOL . . . he had a Phoenix Yellow 93' Civic Hatchback with a number of different motors from a sidemount intercooled D15B7, nitrous B20, non-intercooled LS (tried blowing it up more when we found it had a cracked sleeve but didn't want to blow, those motors are invincible it seems!!), and he eventually had a CRVtec turbo that on low boost would go on to beat modded GSX-R motorcycles, and be toe-to-toe with a 1000cc bike (forget, this is 16? years ago). I'm lucky to had have him as a big bro getting me into Honda's and being in the passenger seat every step of the way... it was a very rich upbringing into the Honda world... many good memories in that car!!

I eventually turned 16 and bought a white 92 Civic DX (this is where I share my history I reckon) from a friend of ours that my brother had sold to, and it had a B18A1 in it, bone stock everything else and it was a blast. I'll post a pic below of it in 1 second. Anyway, I had that for 4 years, putting money into it slowly but surely, and it was a real beaut. The wheels and sideskirts were inspired by my brother, and the J's lip (or replica, still unknown...) was added to compliment the sides. I hate sharing some history of this car since I had wrecked it like a big ol' dummy but it was a lifetime ago and didn't let it up for air. Pics are below (thanks Tahjee Wallace for the great pictures a month before it was doomed... :/)

After that car, I had no real intention of building another since I wanted this to be my first Honda that was my last one. Then I got a 94 EX Sedan, Lausanne Green, and realized that it had handled even better, (longer wheelbase, stiffer chassis) and had been wanting a 92 or 93 DX sedan so it'd be light but with the goodness of the superb handling chassis (in my opinion the best golden era Honda as far as handling... light, stiff, long wheelbase... don't get no better)

I had another hatch after that because I "just couldn't live without a white EG hatchback" being young, but around that time I had found God, and was forced to get rid of it... long story short, got a white 95(?) EX sedan, traded it for a charity case 97' Prelude (thought I was getting a good deal... not) then got rid of that to FINALLY about 4 years later got a Red 93' Civic DX sedan, and that's been my daily since August 2017. It was stock for a while, then got tired of it being slow, took out all the interior including the dash, and it had way less body roll, learned a lot about taking the interior out on stock car. Then recently added JDM Type-R front lower control arms (best under $50 mod I've ever done... thank you HMO Christmas Special) a rear strut bar, a homemade front strut bar, and added tokico blue struts up front and some yellow springs I forget the name of. It handles GREAT now!! The front lca's really made it stay on that 'record line' like it's on a buttered up roller coaster ride. It still needs front lower ball joints, upper control arms, etc etc (hey, it's an antique, what do you expect). I have no pics of the current car because I don't own a phone. But yeah, thanks for reading this if you did, you made it, I'm done with introducing myself lol I'll try to post a picture of my current car soon... so yeah... cheers yall.
