Hey Honda-Tech I'm currently trying to learn how to rebuild a 1997 Honda Civic DX Hatchback
In the early days I made a big mistake by cutting the Under Hood Fuse Box Harness that runs into my Dash
I want to rip the Dash Harness out and rewire to make it a lot cleaner then what it is .
Just wondering the connectors that go into the bottom and top of the Fuse Panel is there anywhere I can buy those connectors or do I have to use the ones that come already connected into the fuse panel so they fit ? All the wiring i want to clean up
Personally I don't feel you will clean up the harness tucking anything. Only make it a mess and nightmare for anyone trying to trouble shoot problems.
Amen to this !!! More people need to take this statement to heart. If you want to trailer a car around everywhere, to every car show you desire, and rub the car with a diaper... do a wire tuck. If you want to DRIVE it on a daily basis... leave the factory wiring as intact as possible because the Japanese engineers who designed it knew the best place to keep it dry and away from heat... not to mention have created wiring diagrams and diagnostic information that makes it easier to troubleshoot problems in the vehicle.
