1992 Honda accord d4 light on solid
My 1992 accord has d4 light on solid when shift into other gears. No power in d4. If I disconnect battery and re connect. It would run fine for a while.after I let it sit ,acts up again. I've changed the solenoid and TCU for a knowned good one but still does same thing. Sometimes it would be fine they it would act up. Any help greatly appreciated
Need to pull the codes, don't throw parts at it.
Engine running condition, even if it 'feels' fine, greatly affects transmission operation.
Passenger side kick panel, look above it, there should be a two wire blue connector floating in space.
Use a wire, paperclip, bobby pin, whatever is unpainted/uncoated and jam it into the connector to bridge the wires.
Turn your ignition to II(ON)
Watch the pretty warning lights telegraph you codes. Short blinks are 'ones', longer are 'tens'. Codes are presented in numerical order.
Post back here your codes for further diagnostics.*
*A code is not always the actual problem, but a related problem that we(Forum) can help you with.
