Default Accord Automatic Transmission

I have been looking for a transmission to replace the one in my 94 Accord EX. I wanted an MP1A from a 92-95 Prelude but I can't find one. When I call the suppliers, the trans they "actually" have in stock is a MPOA. The most they can tell me is that it is a replacement for the MP1A and was used in the JDM Accord SIR. Can't find anything online except that descriptions include it with BOYA/AOYA transmissions. I suspect that, like the MP1A, the MPOA came with different gear ratios depending on it's end use. If anyone has any info on this trans, I would greatly appreciate it. Right now, I am beginning to think the MPJA from the Odyssey might be the best/only option.

I saw that one, but it is not JDM, diesn't have a torque converter with it, and no indication as to how many miles are on it.

Yeah, I saw that one too. Sent him a message and he said the trans that would ship was a MPOA. Didn't know anything else about it, like gearing, etc.

Yeah, called him too. Waited a week on his next shipment. All that came was one MPOA. He said maybe he would get one in a couple of weeks on the next shipment. Agree, I liked the way he talked.

Its the 'season' so things will be a bit slow.
Stick with HMO and you should be fine.

What, exactly, is HMO...?

That anemic website is about useless. Their meager inventory of a dozen used Honda engines seems outnumbered by their posts warning they're too busy to deal with customers. ...eesh.

I missing something here?

Seems every site has a meager supply of old Honda engines. But my understanding even with their meager supply and 'season' stifling warnings they do have good engines when they have them. I guess the OP was problem finding them, everything I tossed out was already looked into.

I guess what's missing is where is another place to look? For the OP that is.

perhaps the OP might contact these folks: https://www.beaverscarsalvage.com

a meager beaver inventory fer sure, but more than ample Honda representation. though what's missing are a litany of posts warning folks how busy they are.

I am familiar with Beavers. I don't think they deal in JDM, though.
