OEM ITR Rear Spoiler - Fibreglass?
Definitely fibreglass T. For fun and because my Teg didn't come with a third brake light in the rear glass(and cos I'm a bit insane in the membrane) I decided to cut out the LED and mount from a Teg SiR low spoiler and install it in a Type R spoiler. As you do. The SiR low spoiler is made of plastic, but the R spoiler is made from fibreglass which made bonding the two together a real pain in the sitting area. Glues that would work with one, wouldn't quite work with the other kinda thing. The R spoiler has a bit of a feel of "homemade" to it, the low spoiler is better made(and was more expensive as an option at the time).
And yep I cut up an original R spoiler, but the mounting bolts were broken and it had seen better days(and I have three more of them. Stockpiling spoilers
).

I dunno T, they weigh a fair bit and a noticeable bit more than the all plastic GSR/SiR smaller wing and that has the brake light and wiring in it as well. If they were made from the same plastic I'd bet they'd be lighter than stock. The material in the R wing is thicker and more dense and it has a strengthening spine running down the middle. You can sorta see it here in a pic I have of roughing out the brake light thing.

I can say that the first time you cut into the R wing with a Dremel/grinder the dust is horrible and itchy and copious.

Sanded it down T. I'm dubious about paint stripper on any non metal surface, especially fibre glass as it's quite porous.
