Default OEM PCV valve worth it?

Is it worth paying premium for an original Honda accord PCV valve?

I threw away the original 91 Accord PCV about 5 years ago. In retrospect, that was foolish since I now know they can last long time and the reason I got rid of it was simply due to it being old. It ended up being replaced with a 3 dollar one and now I'm thinking of replacing it again after all those years since I've been having stubborn idle issue (high idle, low idle and pulsing idle). So, should I cough up the money and get a genuine Honda PCV valve?

Yes , Hondas don't like aftermarket emissions equipment.

Well, I coughed up the money and bought the genuine Honda PCV for ~50 bucks. I haven't noticed any difference when driving between the 3 dollar Microgard PCV compared to the genuine Honda PCV...yikes!
