Question About Tuning/Re-Flashing Stock Base RSX and/or RSX Type S
Thank you for opening my thread, please keep in mind that I am very new to aftermarket ECUs and tuning/Re-Flashing.
I have been planning on buying a RSX, either that be the Base model or the Type S. I find myself in a dilemma where I don't think I would be able to afford expensive motor/power parts. If I was to buy a RSX I would most likely only be able to install a full sport/loud exhaust and a cold air intake.
Now, my question is what numbers can I expect when re-flashing/tuning a stock Base RSX and/or Stock RSX Type S with full exhausts and cold air intakes? I'm really interested in what type of horsepower a quick map can make.

5-8 hp tops at the wheels; these cars aren't like earlier Hondas, in that way. If you can't afford more mods, then you really should be buying the Type S if at all possible. The base's shitty engine gets tiring quickly, and it's cheaper in the end to start off with the better engine. Not to mention the goodies you get with the S.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. If that is the case I will try and save up for a Type S. If I may, I have one more question for you. Would you be able to give me your thoughts on how hard it is to replace the clutch on the K20A2 RSXs? I would also love to know any pointers or tips you may have for a clutch replacement being done at home?
Once again, I really appreciate your help.
