Icon5 Can a faulty ignition switch cause my dashboard and PRND32 to not work??

My gauge cluster isn't working when I turn the car on (speed, gas, and temperature). All the lights such as the turning ones, high beams, and hazards seem to work when activated. The civic is an automatic, and the car is stuck on park (i can't shift the car into drive when it's on). If I put the key next to the auto gear shifter hole, i can put the car on drive. The braking lights seem to work perfectly. I believe it might be something electrical since the gauges stopped working when i put the car on ACC mode, or it could be the ignition switch. The door chime is always ringing when i open the door, even if the car is on drive. The previous owner had swapped the original ignition switch, but i don't know why. Anyone has any ideas of what it might be?
