Changed the drum hardware now no brakes?
hellos all... on here today to ask about the drum brakes. One of them recently was not self adjusting and causing a grinding noise. Usually would adjust it manually to stop the noise but I've done it three times and I've gotten sick of it so I decided to change all the brake hardware on both the rears. And now no brakes 
... so I don't know what the matter could be. No I did not bleed them by the way I thought you wouldn't need to but I may be wrong. I topped off the brake fluid and everything. Anyone know what I did wrong? Should I have adjusted the self adjust manually before reinstalling?

If you didn’t remove the wheel cylinders, open the bleeder, or loosen the brake line, there’s no real need to bleed.
You definitely should have adjusted the...um...adjusters before installing the drums and calling her done, so now just remove the wheels and drums and adjust them until you get a little drag/ small amount of resistance with the drum on.

Yes you have to pre-set the adjusters so that the shoes almost touch the drum before putting the drum on. Even then, pedal travel may be more than normal until you make several stops while moving backward to turn the adjusters out.
There are several ways to put drum brakes together wrong and have them not work. A few parts are specific to one side of the car. I think the adjuster with left hand threads goes on the left side.
If the hand brake works OK then likely you have a hydraulic problem.
