Default New axles?

Hey when me and my friend pulled out my motor, i think we kind of messed up the axles(just the boot). Should i get aftermarket axles or should i just get the old axles fixed?

Thanks

just bring your old ones to autozone and they'll give you remanned cv axles for around $110.
Do NOT use the axles.. if you are lucky, they won't go out in a Day like 15 others i have seen... i have only seen 2 that actually last a couple months on a honda w/out vibrating..

Just get new HONDA boots, and put them back together, they are kinda a pita, and really messy, but no reason to get new axles just because the boots ripped...

Well i'm also boosted...and hoping to put over 300 to the wheels after tuning. Thats why i was thinking about getting aftermarket ones.

i'll definately second that. i had to replace my axle and i went through 3 cv axles in one month from advanced auto parts. i'm now riding on a $25 used prelude cv axle and it works just fine.

I'd say 300WHP on a turbo lude the last thing you want is a $100 autozone axle. I would suggest Driveshaftshop axles in a stage2 at least or maybe a set of Vitek axles. Deffinately NOT a reman-POS, at least get the honda boots and try that first if you need them put the money up so you won't have to keep changing them out.

IMO, upgraded axles are the way to go, i've got DSS Stage 3 myslef, good for up to ~600whp, better safe than sorry, you can just get the boot replaced though. around here we have a shop called CV Master, one of my friend's brother is the manager out the one around here, and he gave me a hookup a time or too, but that's beside the point.... just find somewhere to remanufacture YOUR existing axles, and you should be set for a while, as long as you don't do a lot of hard launches on them
