Default UPDATE: Photos added New (old) ITR owner

After a long hiatus and having my last ITR stolen (01-339) I am looking to get back into the game. I am zeroing in on a Canadian 2001 CW with 58k on the odometer. It is in good shape overall, all original body panels aside from one fender that was replaced. The rub on the caR is that it has a Salvage title due to theft (of course) and the motor/trans are not original. I would rate Interior 7/10, Exterior 8/10. I am curious to hear opinions on what you think a fair price is for this car as I've described it. I appreciate your feedback. Obviously when I get a car I will post it up right away. Thanks guys.

I think I know which car you are talking about. If so, it's missing the red cdm seats and missing a fender vin tag. With salvage title and non-og engine and trans, I think it's worth way lower than what they're asking. I'd say like $10-12k USD max. But the market is changing all the time so who knows.

The worst thing about an ITR here in Canada would be the propensity to rust, but with 58k on the car it likely wasn't winter driven, so that would be good. I haven't seen any ITR's for sale in my region for a long time, they are not very plentiful. I don't know where you have found this one, but beware of any that are for sale in Quebec, you get a lot of funny business going on with cars that come from Quebec. An acquaintance of mine bought an ITR from Quebec that looked mint, it turned out to be a complete disaster that was basically scrapped for parts as it was in such poor condition.

10-12k USD will barely get you a beat up, high mileage ITR here in Canada.

Pay what you think it's worth. If it's a salvaged ITR with GSR parts sprinkled on it, then it's probably not worth more than $15K max. For reference, I bought my CDM 2000 ITR for $19K USD ($25K CaD) back in October of last year. Clean interior/exterior for it's age, all OEM, no rust, clean title, with 120k miles. It has a HID JDM front end, which I wanted anyway. I think that's what brought the value down the most. I still think I got a hell of a deal deal after looking at two other ITRs that were rust buckets and selling for over $20K USD. By the way, ITRs in the Vancouver or Western Canadian regions will not have as much rust as those in the Eastern region. Don't be dismayed by CDM ITRs because they *might* have rust. Not all of them do.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did a little more diligence and I'm passing on this caR altogether. I have a good budget and, if I'm going to pony up the money, I want to make sure I'm getting quality. This one is located in Quebec as a few of you mentioned and the Seller just seems shady. I will update this thread when I find the one.

My patience paid off and I found a really nice caR. I'm super happy I didn't prematurely pull the trigger on something else because I couldn't be more thrilled with the vehicle I found. I will post up some pics shortly!

Edit: P.S. If anyone has a spare set of OEM 15's or JDM 16's burning a hole in your pocket please send me a PM. Thank you in advance!

Picked this beauty up in Vancouver last weekend. Clean title, low odometer 2001 CDM CW. It's great having another ITR.

My friend spotted this car in Vancouver a few weeks ago and it had plastic covering the driver seat!
Congrats on the new ITR!
I am tracking 2001 CDM badge #s so may I ask the badge, mileage and which state it is headed to? Clean title?
Thanks

Thanks very much. Was this the BAT car? I thought the badge was missing. Which state is it headed to?

It's been a while since I updated this thread. Picked up a set of DC5 (SR4) red Recaro seats to protect my CDM red seats. I will swap these in with the correct DC2 Brackets when they arrive in a few weeks. I strongly prefer the DC5/SR4 style seat to the DC2 JDM seat so that's why I went with this one. As you can see, they are really clean. I'm sure this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I'm holding onto the stock seats so they can be re-installed or included in the event I ever choose to part with the car. I'll update when I get the seats installed. There are a few Mugen goodies from my friends at King sitting on my shelf as well.

Anyone have an OEM DC2 car cover? PM me. I been searching for a year.

VERY nice! Glad you're back in one.

I just bought a used, but almost new, genuine OEM ITR Acura outdoor car cover last month. Someone local was selling it. Couldn't believe it!
