I have a 1991 Honda Accord Aerodeck. The car was running great one day and it just stalled (thankfully two homes down the block from mine). Repeated attempts to start it met with mixed success. The car would start right away, and stall as soon as the key was released and the ignition moved from the start position to the run position (Critical Information as it turns out). I did some research and discovered the most likely culprit was the electrical portion of the ignition switch (AutoZone part # LS895). My best hit was the link to this YouTube video . I replaced the cable and it fired right up and ran like a champ. Saved again by Honda-tech.com. Don't be intimidated by this repair. After removing the top and bottom trim pieces from the steering column the cable is right there and relatively easy to replace. The three screws that hold the ignition switch to your key cylinder are a 6 mm socket. Good luck.
