93 civic hatch Replacement hood isn't lining up correctly
Hello, I recently went to the junkyard and pulled a replacement hood for my hatch, and it's misaligned at the sides and the front between the bumper. I don't have a picture with me, but the hood is too close to the driver side, and it has a finger size gap in the front when it's completely shut. I tried adjusting it from the hinges, but I can only move it up and down, not side to side. Am I suppose to adjust it from the hood to the hinge, or from the hinge to the body of the car. Also, the latch part of the hood when I got it was slightly bent, but I hammered it back into place. (Just in case you need that information.)
if your car is out of align, it doesn't matter which hood you use, it will still be off. If the hood was fine on the donor car and yours didn't fit...what does that tell you?
The original hood on the car fit fine, I replaced it because their was a dent when I guess someone dropped the hood with the hood prop in the wrong place.
1. i would recommend getting a hinge thats not bent.
2. you can adjust the fenders side to side. take off four 10mm bolts on top i believe
3. the hinge has 4 bolts, upper part and lower part can be adjusted slightly
i would slide the fenders out as much as possible to the very end, then slight the hood all the way to very front. then start adjusting from there to your liking.

I will give that a shot when I get home, can the front latch be adjusted at all to lower the gap between the hood and the bumper?
If you loosen the hood to hinge attachment on one side and pull it forward or backward, the most noticable effect is the front of the hood moves from side to side (the whole hood pivots).
