Hello all, firstly , i am sorry for my english is not good.
I just finish the engine assemble and got the first starting.
Because of i changed a oil pump there is no crank position marking on the oil pump, so , i just use the tools to feel the #1 piston in TDC to place the timing belt. in fact , may be i really placed little incorrect timing belt(may be just one teeth)
after that, i do the compression test , there are average low around 12X PSI, may i know is it all cylinder get average low compression because of the timing belt? If Yes, how can i get the right alignment with out the mark on the oil pump?
I have inspected all the valvetrain , there are no one sink.

Likely timing is off. I don't have a timing cover on my setup and it's not that hard to set TDC. Just line up the last mark on the crank pulley to the center of the timing belt tensioner. If you look at the bolt from an angle, the CP mark will be in the middle of the bolt. This is on a D16y8 motor by the way

What motor setup are you working on??

 

that is a B18c1 with YCP high compression piston with oem camshaft and rod
I will try to place the timing belt again,

 

Set the crank pulley to TDC first and check the cam gears to make sure they are correctly aligned. Don't do the other way around.

i have place the timing belt again and its can start.
but i am confusing do i place it right prefectly. because if i put two of tools to in the cam hole, but there are two of cam gears have one or half teeth retard. If i turn the cam gear "up" in up position , then, the middle groove is not face to another one.

are you using stock cam gears? If it's aftermarket, make sure it's back to TDC, "0". The intake cam gear will sit a bit higher than the exhaust cam gear. The "left" and "right" marks on the cam gears will run horizontally, parallel to one another...and not meant to point directly at each other.
