1998 Honda Civic LX. No crank, No start
When I press the clutch and turn the key everything lights up, but the starter doesn't engage. I replace the ignition switch and am still not getting power to the starter. I can crank the car if I jump the starter.I thought it might be the ignition relay, but for the life of me I can't figure out where it is. Can anyone help me?
The battery and connections are good. When I say jump the starter, I mean turn the key on and touch a hot wire to the terminal on the starter. I don't mean jump starting the car. Everything is working, i just can't get power to the starter by turning the key. I'm lost on this. lol
You'll want to check the clutch switch and if it's OK check or swap out the relay.

Definitely clutch switch.
There is a rubber plug in the pedal arm that breaks and prevents the pedal from pushing down the switch
you can unplug the switch and jump a paper clip in the harness to bypass the switch or just replaced the pedal grommet. They sell it in an assortment at the autoparts store

Make sure you jumped the proper switch. The one for the starter is way at the top of the pedal arm. The one lower down is for the cruise control.
The associated relay is mounted on the side of the car way up high near the clutch switch. I've never heard of one going bad. The problem is almost always the plastic pad that presses the switch.
When you turn the key to start, the black wire with white stripe on the ignition switch is energized. This goes to the pedal switch / relay and then out to the engine compartment and the starter.
