Guys, I'm looking at making a bunch of stuff for our generation of civics. I'm opening it up for your ideas, what isn't made that we can make? What feature would you really love to add to your car? I'm talking overhead console, rear cup holders, new dome light or reading lights, better center console? I might even have access to some cnc stuff, so engine bay stuff might be an option as well.

Well, you're in luck - got the first prototype done for that - this picture is back view, the other chamber is for a lighting system. Either dome, reading or both.

 

 

I don't have access to a 3d printer that large. At least right now. I've been throwing around ideas in my head for something like it though. I'd honestly love to design a full center console like the DC one but with more functionality.

As of right now no, I do have a lip on the bottom to stop things from sliding out. I'm not good enough to make multiple pieces match up together with a latch and spring and stuff. Plus I want these to be as inexpensive as possible so everybody can have one.

 

Making me wish I still had my stock (street only) EF still so I could accessorize it. This piece looks nice too!

ohh...ideas. How about replacement interior covers for around the mirror adjusters. Triangular pieces that like to break. Couldn't find it in honda's online catalog.

 

Finished this up this morning, should be dang close to the final product. This should work with the factory mount and should clear auto shifter mechanism. Only thing I don't know is if it will work on the RT4WD wagons yet. I believe their console is longer on the front. I sent it off to my 3d printer guy, so should have it back in a couple days to start testing with.

 

That would be great, as well as mirror block-off plates (outside). Those are damn near impossible to find these days; it took me months to find them several years ago when I needed them for my aftermarket side mirrors.

 

I'll have to look into those.

Reproductions of the OEM floormats. The nylon glides in the si sunroof mechanism. Reproduction labels/stickers for the si intake manifold. Rear speaker pods and rear shelf. There is always that ultra rare rear seat center console.

 

^ I just ripped that sticker off my manifold. It kind of makes it look old.

The only way that would happen is if you move the ebrake handle to one side. The del sol is like this, need to take a look at one and see if we can "convert" ours like it and utilize that space better. My buddy has 2, will be there Sunday and take some good pics.

Into the sunglasses holder

 

All pictures were taken in 1st gear for reference. This uses the factory mount - only thing you have to do is cut the front of the console off and replace with new cup holders. These are all the cups I had in my house and it fit all of them. The fit isn't 100% as close as I want yet, but I'm very very close.

Love the cup holder. What are you modelling in? I use C4D, and am hoping to start a push bar design for my 1990 HF>B series as soon as it's back from the shop.

 

I'm using Fusion 360 for my modeling. Still learning a lot of the ins and outs of it.

 

I'll have to check that out. But I'm no pro modeller either.
