I recently purchased a 94 Del Sol S with the D15B7. It has 140K on current motor and is running strong for the most part. Went in for smog a little while back and it failed. But the guy couldn’t tell me why. I know it’s puffing a little bit of white smoke and burns oil which means a head gasket. I’ve seen posts of those using a D16Y8 head gasket as a replacement due to them being more durable. If so, which one would be the best? And would I need to purchase the entire kit, or just the gasket?
