94 civic GSR swap AC problems
hey I put a new compressor on a new dryer yesterday and filled it with freon on my 94 Civic with a GSR swap when I turn the AC on it seems to bug the car out really bad does anyone know how to fix that problem
When you say "bug out," what are you referring to? Does it drag down on the motor, make any noises, or do lights or other functions of the car not work?
When I had the same set up a while back, the only issue I ever came across were bad connections ( old plugs ) to relays. It would cause the compressor to click on and off randomly.

Why was the compressor changed? If the old compressor blew up inside, bits of metal from the compressor go into the condenser and clog it up, the condenser needs to be replaced.
WHat are the high and low pressures? If it is excessive high side pressure causing the engine to "bog", other reasons besides clogged condenser include overcharged with refrigerant or oil, refrigerant mixed with air (failure to use vacuum pump before charging), and condenser fan not working.

Compressor was never seized up the bearing was going and was not cooling so I decided to switch the compressor and dryer it has new spark plugs and wires less than 5000 miles on them and it has a brand new distributor that I put on the same day I did the AC compressor I'm still haven't mess with the wiring too much yet but the ECU was definitely pin so I'm not sure how they did it so I probably need to figure out the 94 Civic diagram and the GSR diagram to figure out all the wiring and see if they pin the ECU right unless you have any other suggestions

Yea could just be a wiring issue if it looks like the ecu was previously re-pinned. I would search online for pin diagrams of the gsr P72 ecu and pair that with a 92-95 civic electrical trouble shooting manual just to make sure all of the wiring is how it should be. It could also just be overcharged as well but we'll need a little more than "seems to bug the car out" to actually help you.

If a gsr was added then the only pinned wires would be for the vacuum 2ndary vtec and the ac portion should've been left alone. My assumption.
