Default B-series transmission casing

I have a a cable tranny that has a really good gear ratio, i took it apart and all the gears look amazing and it ***** smoothly, the only issue is that the case is trash most of the motor mount threads are stripped and generally just poor condition, could i find another b series case and swap the gears into it?

The only thing you'll have to do is adjust the shim washer to fit the gearset to the new case.

If it's the internal threads in the aluminum case that are trashed, you could have them helicoiled, or have timeserts put in. But to answer your question, yes. Caoboy hit the nail on the head - check the clearance and re-shim as required if you swap guts to a new case.
