Icon5 Aftermarket exhaust question...

My son is interested in doing some exhaust work to his Civic. It is an automatic, which limits us in terms of sound. Being an auto we are looking (of course mixing with other mods) for a bit of performance or just making it breathe a little better. However, we are looking for QUIET performance.

Looking for insight or suggestions and info on the before mentioned.
Sure we can throw 2" piping and a some type of muffler like many do locally, but they sound horrible being an automatic... We just want it to sound good and work good.

Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

IMO just leave it stock. You won't get any performance improvements on a stock automatic and the sound will be terrible no matter the exhaust. I would put the money elsewhere

ebay fart can welded in place of your stock muffler
or get a cherry bomb at autozone and weld that in. Both would be cheap and give off a little more noise than stock

Is this like that turbo game where we have the three options of cheap, fast, and reliable and have to pick 2?

NO,

It's a oem piece from a Evo or somein
You just have to cut out a slot for the muffler to slip into and bolt it to your bumper and if you have a rear lower tie bar, go to acapulco muffler to weld some t brackets/nuts to it. Then you bolt the end to the lower tie bar and you have a functional rear diffuser. NOne of this 3m tape crap that the 2020 Toyota z4's have
