Currently have a 2009 Accord Sedan LX with a 5MT. Would like to buy a 2008-2012 EX-L that was hit in the rear and do a full interior swap. To perhaps achieve a more OE feel, and save the hassle (while in turn creating another one!) of manually wiring up heated seats and or power controls, would like to do a full wiring and potentially a BCM swap.

On these cars, is the BCM part of the ECM or is there a separate module? If the donor car had a lower mileage engine (I'm at 165k now), I'd consider swapping the engine too, which truthfully, is a walk in the park.

I am assuming either my LX BCM would have to be programmed for EX-L options, and, alternatively, an EX-L ECM would have to be flashed/segment swapped for it to know throw a CEL/MIL for no auto trans sensors, and to start, red-line, etc?
