H22A Euro R Swap in 97 Prelude SH
I have a 97 Prelude SH and I'm getting rid of the H22A4 - M2Y4 and I would like to put in a H22A - T2W4. I've been told numerous different things as to installation but it was never confirmed... So can anyone tell me what I really have to buy for this swap to work?

-depends are you going to use Euro R ecu or not - chipped ecu then or hondata?
-remember that its wise to do some rebuilding to your swap engine - seals, gaskets, timing things, clutch etc
-the only difference is electrics so look into that - Accord VS Prelude, JDM vs USDM (if youre from US)

Like Timik said, you need to figure out which you are going to go with in regards to your ECU. If you are not worried about smog, the most affordable/reliable route is to convert it to OBD 1 and use Hondata. I did this exact swap 19 months ago so, do a little research before you decide to go with this motor. Their are many other options out there such as the H23a that would give you similar HP numbers with higher TQ numbers for less money spent.
The Euro R is not a basic H22 swap as it has its unique characteristics.

he would need transmission for H23A and probably chipped/ecu hondata so might not save much money unless he can find very cheap transmission

You might also need oil pump, dizzy etc from your current engine if you want to make it work electrically. Depends of course usdm electrics and what ecu you're using
