Default Can I use ABS brakes on a non ABS car, and how do i take ball joint off?

I got a set of Integra LS brakes and they are ABS. Can I use them on my civic lx? Also how in the world do I take off the ball joint to do the conversion? I tried sticking a fork looking thing (suppose to be a ball join seperator) and popping it free, but it will not come out. Some please please help me! Thanks!
