Default 2005 honda civic

I have a 2005 civic that is blown up It is a d17 and an lx if I could get a k20 from another car of a similar year would it be plug and play or would I have to change some things. Just looking for all the info that I can?

It will not be plug and play. Plug and play for that year would be a replacement D17A1/A2. You're better off buying another Civic/Civic Si/RSX unless a K series 7th gen is your ultimate goal.

I'm inquiring because I have a 2013 si, that was totaled so I have this entire parts car to put into basically the roller that no longer has a running motor just wondering what all or close to some of the things I would need

if you are competent enough to own both chassis and be able to look for yourself if the mounting locations and harnesses seem to be the same you are competent enough to use google to see what a d17 to k series swap requires
