about to buy prelude need help!
i plan on purchasing a 97 prelude type sh. asked the guy if theres anything wrong with the car. he replied saying
The only behavior it has is that the ATTS light for
Active
Torque Transfer System on. The micro-controller has a
glich and has shut itself off. It's a common problem
for the 97s. I just never got it fixed because a new
controller costs $700.
so whats the micro-controller do? will it make a big difference?

It probably controls the torque transfer function. I would stay away from it because that the whole point in having an SH. Why buy it when you can find one that works fine. Let it be a message to you and leave it.
it is a very common problem on earlier SH models. All you have to do is reset the ECU, but nevermind that, as there's a TSB on the '97 models. This guy was a jackass for not taking it in.
