Engine swap a 2.4l. From a 2003 2.4l to a 2005.
i bought a 2005 Accord lx and it had a blown engine, I bought a 2005 total loss with low km and drove it into my garage. I did both engine pulls with the transmission attached. I plugged in all the hoses, and cables. But when I try and start it, sounds like the starter spins, but the engine doesn’t crank. I attached the two grounding cables
is there something I am missing. This is my first engine swap.

If you hear the start spin but not engage either the starter bendix drive is busted, or the teeth on the ring gear are worn out where the engine last stopped.
Try hand cranking the engine over a bit and try starting again. If the starter just spins, most likely the bendix drive is faulty, replace it with the other starter. If it does catch, verify that the ring teeth are fine(rotate the engine manually and look at the ring gear teeth. If no teeth are worn then there is something fucky going on with the starter.

Figured it out, bad ground connection and the battery was bad, replaced the battery and it started right away. I have another question but I will create a new post for that.
