Hi, my 92 accord lx with the 5 speed and a very long life has recently developed a problem starting.
Symptoms: Cranks fast enough (especially when jumping), At least one (sometimes 2) cylinders will start firing eventually, but it will never fully catch and run. Occasionally something fires at the wrong time because it will be cranking and then come to an almost dead stop and then start cranking again. Also only seems to do this when cold, if I'm out and about its never had a problem. (It was 19F this morning and this was the first time it never actually started) Once it starts I don't have any more problems until it sits for a day.
Other information that may be important: Engine is tired and uses oil. Planning to address that in a few months. Distributor has around 20k on it I think. Two spark plugs were recently removed and cleaned (looked fine, other two are seized) but did not change the symptoms.
From my searches I suspect the ignitor, but there doesn't seems to be a way to test it. Is there other things that it could be that I can test for?

Have your battery tested and check all of your engine grounds. make sure they are clean and tight.
