Need some help/pointers-idle
I have a mini me swap on my 99 Civic, z6 head with d15b7 block. I've been trying to tackle this problem I've had since I've gotten the car, the engine does not do "cold start" and won't do the high idle like most cars do when unstart it. I have to warm it up myself before being able to drive it because if I don't it just stalls. I might be missing something but give me some pounters of where to check, iac has power btw. Thanks 👌
I've tried connecting with the ecu with a obd2 scanner and wouldn't connect (Bluetooth one, probably trash) and it's a obd2 harness with obd1 p28, it's a 2 wire connected to my z6 inatke and iacv
An OBD1 ECU will not communicate with an OBD2 code reader. Short the 2-pin service connector above the ECU to pull the codes.

A previous owner likely removed the CEL bulb. Remove the cluster to check that. Install a bulb from a working cluster warning light to watch the CEL blink the stored codes with the service connector shorted with a paperclip. Then clear the codes by removing the the hood Backup fuse for 5 minutes. Run engine to determine which codes repeat.

Never mind it was great till after a while it was idling lower and lower to the point that at a light or if I just let it idle it will just die and turning it on is also an ***, I don't know what it could be at this point
Ajusted idle speed and it's doing better, it's not stalling anymore but does idle pretty low, then goes to 700 something, but its my daily so im going to see how this goes, I'll give an update on how it goes, thanks
Base idle should be around 480 +\- 50 (iacv unugged) then reset ecu by pulling backup fuse in ebay, turn on let idle for one minute with no accessories (750+- rpms)then turn on head lights idle for 1 minute, then turn off headlights and turn on ac and let idle one minute. You have now reset your idle. Also, coolant level and tenp will affect idke.
Also, if your O2 sesnsor is old and poor it will cause rough idle, i spent weeks trying to track down my idle problems and it turned out to be my O2 sensor all along.

The dc header will relocate the o2 sensor to the collector area, make sure you didn’t swap the iacv plug with a different plug or that its plugged in all the way. If those check out, your iacv could have crapped out, best to visit the local scrap yard and just pocket one.
Well another code popped up and it's for eld, everything is pulsing and rhe thing it self cost 30 something, just go to junk yard and take a couple, I swear this Civic gives me problems but I love it/hate it. Could explain some of my issues
