Default Best trans for F22 motor (manual)

my 5th gear dies out wheh i hit 90mph so im thinking my trans might be out and i want to know whats the best trans for my f22? Currently have an h23.. before i swap for the same trans i wanna know if there’s a better option.. thank you in advance!


Edit: changed the fuel pump & its fine .. fuel pump was garbage thank you! Sorry for the late response this cars been a pain

^x2, what do you mean by dies out? A loss of speed or power doesn't automatically point at a transmission problem.

How long have you been running the H23 swap,
what transmission do you have in it now?
has this been a problem since the swap or have you been driving this over 90mph without issues for a while?

FWIW, I'm fairly sure my fuel pump is slowly dying.
If I get a get solid run on a long onramp from a stop or very slow speed right before it goes into OD @~80MPH the engine will nose over. Gets into OD and it starts running fine again.
While cruising and downshifting there is no problem, but if you are into it for too long it feels like the transmission is 'slipping' but it isn't the tach just starts moving very slowly. Let off or upshift and the car 'recovers' and off I go again.

Check your fuel pressure, if it is on the low side then the pump may be in need of some attention.
