Will a 1997 manual transmission fit my 2002 Honda Accord?
A member has offered me a free manual tranny set up but we don't know if it will work.

You will use only the transmission itself and retain your factory transmission mount(assuming your car is currently manual), etc. The cases and bellhousings are identical(with one exception you need not worry yourself about in this circumstance) on 99% of all 90-02 H/F series manual transmissions.
Then yes, it will physically bolt on to the engine but you will need a bunch of other parts to make it work. Clutch/flywheel, axles, intermediate shaft, manual transmission mount, clutch master/slave, clutch line, pedal, shifter box/cables, etc.
Would a 1997 have all those things and would those fit onto my 2002?
Would I need a new computer?
Are there sensors I would need also?

Both vehicles are very similar so it's likely that most, if not all, of the things would fit. You would have to do your own research on that. Look for a write-up on a 98-02 Accord 5 speed swap and it will hopefully contain most of the information you need.
