Just picked up a '93 EX coupe. Had lots done to it at one point... and a few years of abuse since then. It's too dark and I'm too tired to list what it has and what is wrong with it tonight, except that the engine and transmission are in unknown condition. (10+ hour round trip), so I'll leave you with this:

Had time to get a quick parts rundown from it, no time to dig into it or try to get it running today.

Exhaust- GReddy Ti-C 60mm, Hytech rep header

Intake- AEM short ram, s2 TB and intake manifold

Wheels/Suspension- Spun Supamesh 16", BWR rear LCA's, BWR subframe brace, s2 UCA's, traction bar (brand unsure), Apexi N1 ES coilovers

Engine/Trans: b16a, unknown transmission, unknown condition on both. GE adjustable cam gears, GE fuel rail, goofy PWJDM vtec solenoid cover, shaved Samba green valve cover, Avid mounts, Gates racing timing belt, big dirty Koyo radiator

Interior/body: full Midori green respray, doors, interior, bay, trunk. Shaved bay, Rywire tuck harness. JDM fogs, Goofy Spec-D headlights, amber corners, goof troop tails, horrible clear side markers. Harness bar and Takata harnesses (gotta go), 99 DC Integra cloth seats, optional audio console, HVAC delete with fusebox reloacated behind glovebox. Battery moved to trunk with Taylor box and kit. CF hood. NRG quick release and hub, Personal wheel

Misc- has breather box with welded connections, weld on radiator tabs, AN radiator hoses, tucked aluminum overflow bottle, weldon fuel filter and custom lines.


This is an interesting base for me to start with, I never take over someone else's project. Work seems done reasonably well, but there are some things I hate and need changed out. Captain stance wrecked a strut tower with the UCA, so that needs addressed as well. More pics and detail when I get off work.

Eh, hadn't done a thread in awhile, in spite of doing a few builds since the last one. Figured this way I'd have to keep up on the thread. Transmission will get a rebuild and mfactory LSD. Since I have no idea what's going on with the engine, I'll get it running and go from there, but more likely than not I will rebuild my spare GSR block and put together a poorman's type-r. Aside from that, there are some ricer elements that need gone, damage (strut tower) from ignorance that'll need some welding, who knows what else. I like OEM type interiors so no gaudy racing seats. I'm also big into factory wheels (when they fit my brake setups), so very possibly a set of refinished LS mesh on this one.

 

from the looks of the engine bay its safe to say the shell is already painted?

and some parts I have to begin the de-ricing, and parts i plan to put in after diagnosing the engine. the car also came with a NIB set of supertech springs and retainers, an energy suspension master kit, and a very rare carbon fiber optional audio console that I will be selling to partially fund the build.

 

still need to find a mint set of OEM mirrors to replace the rice ebay cf **** on this car, i also have a set of mint oem floormats, door panels, and front seats for the car. since there is no longer any HVAC in the car, i will be modifying the dash to fit a double din Pioneer touchscreen radio I have.

spoiler is indeed OEM. i have the exact same one on a black trunk from a civic i parted down awhile ago. nothing new as of today, had no time to play with the car. went and picked up a '99 ex coupe shell to put the engine and trans into from my '98 integra ls parts car.

 

This 1st pic is really bothering the **** outta me...

 

I mean I'm all for spoilerless trunks but if its factory its just not worth the extra effort to reduce it down to the trunk.

 

What are your plans with the 98?

 

the '98 is a full partout. t boned passenger qp. the strut tower is number 1 on my list, ill be peeling back the bondo and assessing the damage soon.

I want the door mouldings back to original black or else Japan silver/grey. Gives the car a little bit of contrast vs. being a rolling green blob.

 

i agree. given as they're the thin mouldings and i am missing the door pieces, that was bound to happen. i'm off today, but replacing the floor harness to door section of wiring harness on my winter beater. probably no updates today unfortunately

 

I did my EJ2 with JDM thin mouldings and painted them body color... like "EK" style. I really like how it turned out.
