Default 96 civic manual linkage issue

Alright. So i have a 96 civic manual. Earlier today when i was driving i tried to engage into 2nd gear but the car just didnt engage properly and it stalled(i think. The car just slowly turned off) i tried putting it into gear but it wouldnt engage even when the car was off. When the car is off I can put it into 2nd and 5th gear only but everything else has to be really forced and even when i manage to put it in 1st gear no matter how much i rev the engine it just slowly turns off. I looked online and everything points to a linkage? Idk too much about this because im still learning about cars and i hope someone here can offer some advice or a solution. If it helps i recently replaced my master and slave cylinder so i know its not those. Then about a month ago i had to replace my rack and pinion. I did detach the long shift stick under the car from the shift stick inside the car to get more room to remove the steering rack. Maybe i put it back together wrong?

Bench bleed the cmc?
Bleed the clutch system?
got back under the car to verify all the things you took apart are not loose?

Can you push the car in neutral with the brake off?

If two shift forks engage at once the transmission will be jammed. The mechanism that prevents two from engaging at once is inside the transmission, you would have to remove it from the car and take it apart.

As mk stated, this is a transmission issue, not a linkage or clutch issue.

Is it possible that your clutch isn't fully engaging? Maybe the aftermarket slave cylinder doesn't push out as far? Do you get a grinding noise when trying to go into first?
