Default Header for B18cR

Hi guys,

I've searched with very little result.

I have a 98 JDM ITR B18cR and I'm looking for a megaphone header to fit without sacrificing power.

The 'problem' is that the ITR has a full size radiator & the transmission brace is different to the b16a/b18c1,
which results in clearance issues. I bought a header & it had to be modified to fit the car. Its a direct fit for
a b16. Sits at a nasty angle under the car so I'm not happy with it.

What do you guys suggest?

Personally I run the Tegiwa knock-off of the Toda 98-spec. It about 1/3 the cost of a Toda but has great build quality....especially compared to the PLM and 1320 versions. All you need to go with it is a JDM 98-spec header bracket (if you want the extra support). This style of header fits like OEM, but without the heatshielding.

Problem is I'm looking to keep the full size radiator, my transmission brace and I want a megaphone.

If you buy a header meant for a b18 you won't have clearance issues against the engine/trans brace or factory radiator/fan. Mugen, toda, spoon, 5zigen; they all fit. Buy an rmf narrow rep with the megaphone and be done with it.

Does the Tegiwa header length match USDM or JDM header length ?

I had a PLM RMF replica and it was okay. The sound was good and the ground clearance was decent. The only problem was that you have to trim the fan shroud....and on my EG I even had to trim the tips of the fan blades and ditch the slave cylinder nipple boot.

It's JMD length with a 2.5" collector.

1320 Toda rep with adjustable test pipe FTW best bang for your buck!
