Threw away the stick today.

Maybe some of you also have a stick to hold up your hatch. I found a pair of struts for seven bucks apiece and now the hatch holds itself up! Inordinately happy about this!

Rock Auto. They were the cheapest option but they work fine. We'll see how long they last, but I thought I'd give them a try.
