I did a leakdown test and it bubbled from the radiator. I pulled the head but i dont see where the gasket is not sealing! I am attaching some photos. The car is 2000 Civic with h22 turbo swap.
doesn't need a giant hole to be blown. what's with all of the rust on the gasket and crap in the passages?

Lol. Thats the first time i pull a head, So i have no idea about it thats why i asked. I am going to have the head checked and surfaced if required. Clean the block and check the straightness. Then put the head back with new head gasket and do a flush for the coolant system. I think the old owner had some issues with overheating because there is no thermostat.
Have a machine shop (i) leak test the head and (ii) flatten both the head and block. Then thoroughly clean the bolt holes in the block and install a new Honda head gasket with the bolts torqued exactly as described in the service manual.
Looks like the head lifted and coolant got into the combustion chamber. Might want to thoroughly check for other issues.
I just drained the radiator coolant only

So either the head is warped or your cheaped out and reused old head bolts and they stretched and werent torqued correctly.
How can you second guess yourself when #2 piston is covered In rust
The compression test were low on all cylinders. It is the first time i pulled the head for this car.

I sent it to machine shop to have it checked and machined. I will check the block for flatness as well.
