Green blinking key Light on Dash
Hey All,
I'm the owner of a 2000 accord v6, and one day as I got home, I got the Green blinking key. I know it's attached to the immobilizer system, but I can't seem to get it to start again.
I tried to
A: Swap out the main relay, and nothing changed.
B: checked fuses to see if any were burnt out. None were
C: Added an Immobilizer receiver (new from honda). No change.
D: Tried my other 2 keys (master and valet). No change
E: added starter fluid. No change.
F: Sprayed electronic cleaner on key hole and around the receiver
Any help please? thanks in advance!

Wow sounds like you spent a few bucks on this already.
I guess we can start with why the Green Key blinks in the first place. As I recall, the Green Key indicates an issue with the Immobilizer System. In your case since it was flashing, it probably is trying to tell you that the wrong key is in and since the vehicle was already running, the system wouldn't shut off the car. Kind of like walking away from the car with a Push Button Start key fob, only no beeping sounds.
As to why you replaced the Immobilizer Receiver, I'm not sure why you went that route. But since you replaced it, did you remember to spend the money to have that part and your keys reprogrammed by the dealer? I have never replaced that in the past, but whenever there's an issue and none of the keys work, it never hurt me to start by reprogramming the keys. I'd have to look at the electrical diagram, but if the Immobilizer is part of the starting circuit, I'm curious as to whether or not it needs to see the required voltage, either or 5v or 12v to work properly. If that's the case, I would check your battery.
So on conclusion, I would check the battery and see what the cranking voltage is at. If low, just hook up the cables as in jumpstarting the vehicle and check the cranking voltage again. You should be looking for at least 9V to ensure the Ignition System is working. Again I just wonder if the Immobilizer System needs that too or not.
Good luck

Do you have any emblems or car decor like the round bedazzled embellishments on the ignition? I had the same issue just to figure out it was that which was blocking my signal with the car and key chip
