Default transmission leak (unkown where at)

So I just bought a 94 del sol and the mechanics said that its low on transmission fluid (manual car) indicating a leak. they said they put some kind of dye in it to find out where its coming from and need me to drive it for 3 days. Is this safe to drive or should I put more transmission fluid in it before I start it up? help !

Did they add any fluid? There is no dipstick so the only way to know how much fluid it has is to drain it and measure. You should be able to find the leak if you get under the car and look around. There are four seals. Two axle seals, the shift rod seal (there should be a boot covering it) and an internal seal. If it's the internal seal it will be leaking from the clutch side of the case.
