what clutch & flywheel.
88 rex. 89 crx Si tranny. d16z6. i am about to boost it. will a 92-95 clutch and flywheel work with the 89 Si tranny. I remember reading on here that one of the clutch/ flywheel combo's with this tranny and engine will give a weird rattling noise. I do not want that? just want something that will grab harder. I currently have a excedy clutch for the 89 Si with lightened 89 Si flywheel. but the clutch only has a 29% over stock holding power.
i have heard that the 90-91 clutch and flywheel is a decent upgrade because it is alittle bit bigger in diameter? thanks

sweet...so do some shopping for a 92-95 flywheel, and then get a good clutch for the 92-95. work as if it was made for it huh...no weird rattling or vibrations? thanks

this is what i'm going to use on my JDM D15B, I got the clutch/pressure plate assembly and the flywheel, now i'm about too bolt on a 89 Si trany to it, I am in the first phase of rebuilding my trany.
ok but the clutch assembly is different for the 92-95 civic isn't it. because it comes with a hydrolic tranny, and i am using a cable tranny. this just occured to me. anybody know for a fact that this will work with no problems? thanks

so you think i shoudl get a flywheel from a 90-91, or either. which clutch assembly would work best with my 89 crx Si cable tranny? thanks again
pretty much all d-series is interchangable tho....the flywheels are all swappable (but not all the same). I know there might be a diffrence between hybro and calbe tranny.
The only thing that is different between yours and the 92-95 is the TOB...whe you order the kit you can ask for the 92-95 cltch assy with the 89-91 TOB. I would recommend the Action Clutch setup...the very best IMO...never had it in my car but i rode in a car that had it and all i can say is WOW. It seemed like stock pedal pressure but that thing grabbed like a ****. Were gonna have to race when i get my turbo on. The classic SOHC vs. DOHC turbo matchup. LOL. I dont know if you know how to put it in or not but if you need help give me a call...ive put in like 3 clutches so im getting pretty good at it
Good luck dude.
