Default Power Steering Pump Issue

I'm building a 93 Del Sol for my daughters friend and I need to keep the power steering. The Del Sol was just a shell when I bought it so I don't have the power steering pump from it.

I've placed a d16y8 engine from a 98 civic ex in the car and of course the power steering line from the del sol will not fit on the power steering pump from the d16y8. What are my options for keeping the power steering?

Thank you

The power steering pump I have in hand is from a 99 civic EX. The high pressure hose on the car does not fit, it is the stock line on the 93 del sol. Other than somehow changing the line how can I make this work? It doesn't look like the bracket for a 93 pump will mount up to the d16y8 but I could be wrong. I would prefer to not have to change the line in the Del Sol. I know the 99 pump will not work with the current line.

Thank you

If you can get the pump mounted, get a hose from a 98 and have a hose shop take the pump end off and make a custom adapter hose for you (98 pump to 93 rack).

If you can't get the pump mounted it would be ahead forget using that 98 pump and source one that fits the 93 engine mounts. The tapped holes in the block and head are the same for any D series engine, but the mount pieces that attach the engine to the car are different.

Yes, find a '92-95 Civic P/S pump... your life will be much easier than trying to make a '96-00 pump work.

Thank you all. I'm going to see how much it will cost to have the hose made. There is a shop near me that does t his. If it is crazy expensive I'll source a 92-95 pump.

Can't beat this... Or hit a junk yard for a non-leaky one. Also, they're very simple to rebuild if you find a leaky one.
