I have used search to no avail although i am sure it would have been covered.

I have just bought my first Honda (Accord 2.0 2004), i want to get the AT serviced but a local garage has refused to do the job and claimed these boxes only like Honda fluid?

I presume there is no aftermarket fluids that meet the Honda requirements? I presume i would be best chucking it at Honda and paying the £85.00 for the job to be done.

Correct, use Honda DW-1 ATF; accept no substitutes. As your shop if they'd be willing to do the service if you provided the DW-1.
