i just got this Civic but it smokes at high revs, it idles funny when sitting, the vtec solenoid wire is cut, the ECU comes from an automatic, and temp wire is cut. It was registered earlier this April in 2018. Where do I begin to get it registered again

 

Was it illegally registered?

 

Most likely because it dididn have an intake as seen in the picture. But I really want to purpose build it but I don't want to take the engine out just yet I want to drive it around for a while to have some fun before I really start to break it down.

 

Looks like the previous owner ghetto rigged that car. Who the hell cuts wires to such sensors as the VTEC solenoid and temperature gauge?

 

Any hits or tips to where to start

fix the vtec solenoid, should be easy
try to revert things back to stock
