Default Crank. No Start.

2003 Honda Civic, EX with 175k miles.

At first an intermittent problem. Long crank but would eventually start. Took it to mechanic and it started so no help there. Now it hasn't started in a week. With help online I checked on some things myself.

Thought maybe it was immobilizer. When I turn key the green key light comes on for two seconds and then goes out and when I take key out the same light blinks five times, I'm told this is normal and means there is nothing wrong with the immobilizer (tell me if that's not true please).

I know the fuel pump is turning on but I checked the spark plugs after a failed start and there's no fuel on them which suggests to me its not getting fuel.

I've cleaned a few ground wires and still nothing. Does anyone have any idea? Or at least a direction I should look.

Do you run the fuel tank dry often? Could be a bad pump even though you hear it

I typically refilled with 1.5-2 gallons left in it. Would you call that running it dry? Any help or other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
