Default Knocking gone? Confused but might help someone

Long Post, grab some coffee:

My first posts here consisted of curiosity about engine wear, aka pristine compression opposed to bearing wear, as my engine was knocking ONLY when I accelerated the engine in park. It was concluded with bearings were probably worn. I dropped the pan and the bearings were actually not bad. Not good, but, not bad. I could not find markings on the crank to save my life so I threw a set of standard bearings in. I replaced the rubber O ring in the main girdle and zipped it all back up. I dumped wally worlds 0w-20 synthetic high mileage in and fired her up. I let it idle for 20 minutes, came back out, bliped the trottle and the noise was only reduced maybe 10%??? I was a sad panda but chalked it up to slapping/knocking pistons. Since this is not a detrimental sigh of engine failure, I was like.......whatever, lets carry on, lol....

Now, I must make a disclosure before moving on to the next step because I always get flack if I dont and end up in dog fights, lol. I am an experimenter. I do a lot of dumb, crazy, some brilliant, experimental and just for fun things/ideas to cars to see what results ensue. So, about 2-3 cars back, I had a 200k mile car. I wanted to clean the ring lands on the piston in the car and see if I could raise compression, while they were in the car. My crafty brain went to work and I ended up with the idea of trans fluid in the gas tank, for a few reasons. Its supposed to be a good cleaner, and, I would know when I had a decent amount when the car started to smoke a little from burning it (trans fluid smokes like a banshee when burned). The idea was to get enough residual of unburned oil and push it past the rings, unsitck them, break up the varnish and keep the gunk moving down to the crank case. Well, after adding and adding oil, I could never get the car to smoke no matter how much I used. I got down to a 24:1 ratio before the car started to get sluggish, but, still ran and never smoked. This told me one thing for sure, cars can burn a hell of a lot of oil and still run, lol.

Okay, so, with that out of the way, I decided to try that on this car. Hey, its a $200 car, back off, lol, j/k. I went to wally world, decided to use their 2-cycle oil for this special occasion. I also got a bottle of Marvell M/O . To the gas station I went, poured 3 quarts of 2-cycle oil in and the 1 quart of Marvell in and then filled the tank. With a 15 gallon tank, smushed up on the bottom, so, say 14.5 gallons, thats what, 14:1? Off I went..... I realized on the road I mis calculated as I was thinking 32:1, but, hey, were in it for the win now!! I got up the next day and drove 80 miles continuous to the 'rents house for thanksgiving. When I left to go home, the engine was at 45 degrees cold. I started the engine and it was dead quiet. I was like Hmmm....... I gave it a little gas and expected to hear the knocking, and, quiet... The next morning at home, today, I went ot the store. I started it up and quiet! I revved it up cold a few times and no knocking.

I dont know what to say... I dont know the usual wear patterns on these engines so I dont know why it would knock and stop if it wasnt a "worn" metal part. Maybe it is a fluke? Maybe the piston pins were seized and all that lube cleaned them out??? I really dont know what changed, but, I listed all I have done here for someone else to try. It may work you and it may not. My knock may come back when I finally go though the tank of gas and get fresh gas. If you have a $200 car and want to give it a go, it sure isnt gonna hurt anything, but, "I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO DO THIS, SO, YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK". Who knows, maybe it is all that oil cushioning the upper piston and it WILL come back? Also, for the record, after 160 miles of all highway, i only used a little more than 1/4 tank, BUT, I filled the tank to the top of the filler neck, literally, as it was my first full fill and I wanted to see how it reacted to a fill up of epic proportions, lol.
