Help EK turn signals
So I have a 97 dx that has the motor, harness, and Ecu out of a 98 ex. I just literally just finished a 2000 dash swap in what a pain in the *** that was.. I used the blower motor, ac condenser, and heater core, and dash and frame out of a 2000 and the correct harness. Took it for a test drive everything works but my turn signals and hazards. They make no sound, they don’t turn on on the gauge cluster nothing. Checked fuses under dash and under hood. Please help before I throw a wrench through the damn windshield
All the circuits go through the hazard switch and the blinker relay in the fuse box.
When the hazard is on, the switch sends constant power from a fuse under the hood to the blinker relay. The idea is that the hazards might continue to work even if the car has a major electrical failure. The output of the relay is then switched to the lights on both sides. This case does not involve the switch on the column.
In the normal position, the hazard switch directs ignition switched power from the fuse under the dash to the blinker relay-- the normal blinkers work only with the key on. The output of the relay goes to the column switch. The left and right outputs of the column switch loop back through the hazard switch to the light circuits.
Any time something doesn't light up on a car, always check the bulb(s) first. You can pull the blinker relay and check for voltage at one of the terminals in the box. You can also jump the relay and have the lights come on steady.
