Accord wont Rev past 4k rpm
Hello I just got a 97 accord lx with the f22b2 engine. The car at first didn't rev past 3k rpm and ha a p1361 code.
I bought the sensor and replaced it, the car had the original timing belt ( @277K miles!) so replaced that too.
followed this guide for it: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...f22b1-1908944/
The check engine light is now off and the car revs past 3k rpm but now wont go past 4-4.3k rpm any tips?
i drove the car and looked at the live data when the problem occurs the fuel system changes from closed loop to open loop fault
the spark advance also seems weird to me, when the problem occurs its at 17 and when accelerating its in the 30( idk about the spark advance but it seemed off)
thanks for any help
Update:
Check engine light finally came on and it's a p0172, from what ive read its running lean.
i also have a pending p0170 which is the O2 sensor.
im going to order an ngk o2 from amazon and swap it on saturday hopefully thats the problem

My issue turned out to be the oil pressure switch wasn't compatible with my engine.
TLDR
Car wouldnt rev past 4k rpm while driving. It would bog and jerk way harder than hitting a revlimiter. but still shift once you let up on the accelerator.
