2000 si, is gettting really bad gas mileage all of a sudden and, my a/f auto meter gauge is on the fritz, and my check engine light is on. Honda wants TOOOO much for the stock one. Does any one know if i can go with the Bosch 02 replacement? I called AUTOZONE, they have one but, it doesn't say if it is for the si, it only states DX,HX,and EX. Would one of those still work? This is the primiary one before the cat. that I'm talking about. thanks

 

As long as the wires are matched up and it's a 0-1 volt output (all narrow bands are), it'll work fine.

 

today i ordered a bosch 02 sensor for a 1999 b16a2 civic, which my car has the b16a2 as well just a year newer. Its got 4 wires just like mine and looks the same, but is it? and do you think it will work?

 

yes, they are very standardized. If it screws into the exhaust bung and has the same number of wires (i.e. 4 in your case), it's just a matter of matching the leads up to have it working perfectly.
