Hey I was wondering if anyone has done this swap. I see there are a lot of engines on eBay and other places. Everything I own except for the V is diesel. Playing with the idea of getting a motor and doing it. Is there anyone out there that has done this in North America.?

looks like the trans bolt patterns are the same (N22 and K24) so certainly feasible.

I've never seen or heard of anyone doing this. would there be any registration/emissions hurdles?

I'm guessing you would want a complete swap with ECU and harness. are you seeing that on eBay?

 

yes complete swap. I figured there wouldn't be much fabrication of mounts or anything since I'm sure Honda didn't have different mounts I'm the crv forbthe diesel or the gas. And yeah I have seen engines that come complete with harness and ecu. The engines are reasonable on pricw as well. But the shipping is another story. But understandable
and I guess it would depend on where you lived for emissions things. I know here in Ontario Canada it isn't that difficult to register if you have done and engine swap

 

You're going to have to import the diesel fuel tank and maybe even the lines.
