How do i separate the engine and trans in a 1983 civic 1500 ?

engine and trans in a 1983 civic 1500
i am pulling the engine on a 1983 Honda civic 1500 with automatic.
i have been trying to find the access cover to remove the 8 bolts which separate the drive plate and toque converter but for the life of me i can not find it.
any tips would be much appreciated.
