Default 98 Civic Ex Engine Swap

just bought a 98 Civic ex shell, wanting to put a b-series in it. Which motor is the easiest fit?

If you pick a B, all of the B-series engines are essentially the same size externally. They all fit. Make your decision on other criteria, like whether you want VTEC, and if you are going to turbocharge, whether you going to build a motor or drop one in, etc. Not to mention price and availability.
