Need help Civic 93 high idle with codes
Ok first of all i had hoses leaking from the idle air control valve, I replaced them and the IACV because the idle was going up and down. I thought it was going to fix it but it didnt. Next I cleaned the throttle body and replaced the TPS, now the problem is the idle remains high. I believe this problem occured after I disconnected the TPS connector while the car was on. Not sure though, but I made a video with the codes that appeared. I need help identifying the codes I see 4 3 5 7. But I cant clarify correctly the codes can someone help please? What problem could I be having?
14, 3, 5, 7 it looks like to me.
3 and 5 is MAP sensor codes
7 is TPS sensor code
14 is IACV or bad ECU
as per https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/H...what-they-mean
What you need to do is pull your 7.5A "back-up" fuse in the under the hood fuse box for 15 or so seconds to reset the ECU and trouble codes. Drive a bit and see if the engine light comes on, pull codes then. If CEL doesn't return then problems are gone and it's definitely just everything stored from you pulling a plug when engine was running.

I reset codes by disconnecting battery, now I only get TPS sensor code 7. I bought the TPS sensor from oreilly dorman brand. Did it not like the sensor or something else is wrong?
Did you voltage calibrate the replacement TPS (0.5V closed throttle and 4.5V wide open throttle)?
I have not yet calibrated the TPS, I am going to try to adjust to at least 0.45v. Im guessing I will have to poke a hole on the red wire to adjust it.
I tried reading from the middle wire (blu/red) but I didn't get any voltage. Why? I checked while car was on if it makes any difference.

Ok, I ended up changing the throttle body instead. When I changed it the engine light was still on, but I checked and I had code 5 (MAP sensor). I found out that a hose from that sensor was unplugged and that is why I had that code. No more codes, I am not sure what happened, I thought I had the TPS sensor code. But now I am back the beginning, the idle speed keeps going up and down. What could be my issue? I already change IACV, Intake gasket, Throttle body gasket, and I changed hoses from the IACV. Could it be something related to the distributor or vacuum leak?
Ok, your bleeder screw was allowing water to run out for nearly the entire video... all the while, your radiator was NOT full... and getting more and more empty every second the car ran and fluid dribbled out of the bleeder opening.
Do you know what a FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve) is ??? Do you know how to check to see if it is the problem ??? This is a COMMON "hunting idle" issue on the '92-95 Civic.

OK, FITV is what I cleaned on the original throttle body and I put it back, but I failed to figure out if it fixed the problem due to the hose leak. However, I can perform the same procedure on this same throttle body to see if this is the problem.
